Overview

Orion Outcomes was designed with ease of use as a primary objective.  However, learning about outcomes, how to implement them in your program, understanding a new software application, and making sense of the data received can be an overwhelming task when attempted quickly.

Orion Software Development is aware that cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs are not able to afford expensive on-site in-service training consisting of both the cost of the trainer and the staff time necessary.

Therefore, Orion Software Development is providing training materials bundled with the product and here online so that customers can learn about the desired topics on their own schedule at no additional cost.

Step 1: Outcomes Goals and Terminology

The first step in effectively using Orion Outcomes has nothing to do with the software at all.  We need to set the terminology and purpose for what we are doing.  The best way to do that is by listening to the following online presentation.  Turn up your computer speakers, sit back, and listen.

Step 2: Outcomes Tools

The Outcomes Program Manual is available with your Orion Outcomes purchase and also for free download from this web site.  You need to read the Outcomes Program Manual.  It explains many of the outcomes tools available within Orion Outcomes.  After reading the manual, you should select the tools that you want to use in your program.

Step 3: Tutorials

Now, its time to get familiar with the software itself.  You should check out the user's manual that comes with the software.  The entire user's manual is also available as the online help within Orion Outcomes.  But for those who don't like to read, we have created a set of online audio & video tutorials that will walk you through various features of the software.

Step 4: Get Started

You have all the tools and knowledge necessary to start collecting outcomes. The best way to learn at this point is to jump in and get started with your first patient. If you have questions, we are here. We suggest that you post to our Orion Outcomes Community with your questions.

Additional Resources
