Around January 12, 2016, Microsoft released a software patch under Microsoft Security Bulletin /MS16-004. Read here.
This update was not compatible with Orion Outcomes, nor other applications which use similar technology. Orion Software Development has issued a service release version 4.00.010 to address this issue. This is a free update to all licensed version 4 customers. Download here.
Customers who have prior versions must upgrade to obtain the release. Upgrade pricing is available here.
The only workaround for those that do not wish to upgrade is to remove the problematic file (C:\Windows\System32\MSCOMCTL.OCX; version 22.214.171.124) from your system and then reinstall Orion Outcomes to get the earlier version back. You will be operating without the fix for the vulnerability for the security bulletin. We will not be updating past versions as their support has reached its end of life.
